Trump Campaign Unveils Viral ‘I’m Not With Her’ Video Featuring Black Women Speaking Out Against Kamala Harris.

Can’t seem to catch every single one of them, no matter how hard I try…

Former President Donald Trump recently released a new video titled “I’m Not With Her,” showcasing a montage of Black women stating they won’t be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, according to NBC News. Dropped on Aug. 28, the video marks a fresh effort by the Trump-Vance campaign to win over Black women voters ahead of the presidential race. Featuring over a dozen women, some from key battleground states, the video highlights their opposition to Harris, with many claiming she is disconnected from the Black community. New York City voter Bebe Diamond declares in the video, “I and millions of other Black Americans will cast my vote for Donald J. Trump.”

Trump faces a challenge in capturing the full attention of Black women, a demographic where 90% voted for President Joe Biden in 2020. Historically, Black voters have leaned toward the Democratic ticket. After the 2024 Democratic National Convention, polls show Harris closing in on Trump, with 48% support compared to Trump’s 47%, according to Axios. On a ballot including independent and third-party candidates, Harris also holds a narrow lead, 47% to 45%.

Aside from one woman from Kalamazoo, Michigan, who attributed her support for Trump to “the economic policies under his leadership as our 45th president,” the other women in the video did not provide specific reasons for not backing Vice President Harris in her White House bid. In a statement about the video, Janiyah Thomas, the Trump campaign’s director of Black media, said it highlights how the Democratic Party has overlooked Black issues for years. “Black voters have been taken for granted by the Democratic Party, but President Trump’s message is resonating at historic levels because he is doing the work and connecting with voters,” Thomas told the Chicago Defender.

The Harris campaign responded to the comments, emphasizing that the numbers tell a different story, as Black women have been rallying in unprecedented numbers to secure Harris’ victory. “It’s important to remember that the tremendous mobilization efforts for the Harris-Walz ticket were driven by tens of thousands of Black women who united within 24 hours of Vice President Harris announcing her candidacy, raising seven figures for the Harris for President campaign,” said Jasmine Harris, Harris’ director of Black media.

The video is receiving mixed reactions on social media. MAGA supporters are praising it for promoting unity, while some Black women who weren’t featured expressed their desire to be included. “Add me to that list too,” wrote @peggydodson.

Others criticized the video, pointing out that a little over a dozen women won’t have much impact. “Geez, only 12!?! White women for Harris had over 200,000, and 44,000 Black women for Harris,” @dividedwefa11 commented.

The user also noted that more than 200 Republicans, who previously worked for the Bush, Cheney, and McCain administrations, have voiced their support for Harris instead of the nominee from their own party. “Wow, you found 12 Black women to say they’re not voting for Harris. Meanwhile, over 200 former officials from the Bush, Cheney, and McCain administrations, along with every living president, vice president, and even 90% of Trump’s own cabinet, have condemned Trump and warned about Trump 2.0,” she added.

“Read that again because I don’t think your 12 people can compare to all the people who know him best.”
