Man Runs Wife Over With SUV in Front Of Their Children

A man apparently ran over his wife with a Ford Explorer on purpose in Queens on Tuesday morning as three kids were in the vehicle with him, police said.
The wife, 41, was critically injured in the crash at Franklin Avenue and Parsons Boulevard in Flushing around 5:30 a.m.
The crash is being investigated as a case of domestic assault, as police believe her 36-year-old husband intentionally mowed her down with the SUV.

Responding NYPD officers found the SUV flipped on its side in front of a house.
The wife was transported to an area hospital. Her exact injuries were unclear.

Three children—ages 6, 9 and 11—were in the SUV with the man at the time of the crash but were not injured, according to police.
The relationship between the kids and the husband and wife wasn’t immediately known.
The husband was taken into custody with charges pending.
Police are investigating the crash as a case of domestic assault.
