Fresh off another triumphant Olympic Games, Simone Biles is showcasing her GOAT status online with a striking new photoshoot featuring all 11 of her Olympic medals.
The celebrated gymnast took to Instagram on August 27 to share the photos, captioned “6-year-old me would be proud.” In the images, Biles wears a chic white mini dress and a necklace adorned with a sparkling goat, a fitting nod to the GOAT title she has earned as the most decorated gymnast in history.
Biles first made history at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games. At the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, despite withdrawing from most of the events due to “the twisties” and prioritizing her mental health, Biles still earned a silver medal with her team and a bronze on the balance beam.
At the recent Paris 2024 Olympics, Biles made a remarkable comeback, adding four new medals to her collection. The 27-year-old athlete also made history as the first American woman to win two Olympic all-around vault titles, thanks to her two individual gold medals during the competition. Biles, along with her Team USA gymnastics squad—dubbed the Golden Girls, which included Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera—also secured a silver medal and a gold medal in the women’s team competition.
While many gymnasts retire in their early or mid-twenties, Biles told Today show host Hoda Kotb not to rule her out as the world gears up for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
“You never say never,” Biles remarked during an interview in Paris at this year’s Olympic Games. “The next Olympics is on home turf, so you just never know. I’m just going to relax and see where life takes me.”
