60-Year-Old Woman Celebrates Milestone Birthday with a Surprise “Quinceañera”.

Livier Reynoso finally got her “quinceañera” on Sept. 10 after 45 years of waiting.

This year, a woman from California marked her 60th birthday by finally having the “quinceañera” she missed out on during her teenage years. Livier Reynoso, a resident of Oakley, had doubts about reaching the age of 60 due to concerns about her diabetes, as reported by Good Morning America. To commemorate this significant moment in her life, Reynoso decided to embrace the tradition of a quinceañera and added her unique touch to the celebration.

On September 10, relatives gathered at Oakley’s Saint Anthony Catholic Church, which was also Reynoso’s home church, for a unique mass before joining in a festive celebration at a nearby family ranch.

Speaking in Spanish to GMA, Reynoso expressed that her quinceañera was an amazing experience, and everything unfolded just as she had envisioned on her significant day. She elaborated, saying, “To me, it was a magnificent sight to witness my entire family coming together, filled with joy, and to see my friends. It surpassed all of my expectations.”

For her special celebration, Reynoso donned a unique gown inspired by “The Princess and the Frog.” Her attire closely resembled one of the iconic dresses worn by Tiana in Disney’s 2009 film. Meanwhile, her group of female friends, known as the court of damas, also wore Disney princess-themed gowns.

Expressing her inspiration, she shared with GMA, “When I watched ‘The Princess and the Frog,’ I was really captivated by the dresses, and my immediate thought was that someday, I would create a dress just like hers.”

In September, a TikTok video capturing Reynoso’s quinceañera became a viral sensation, accumulating nearly 155,000 likes in the past month. This video showcases different aspects of the celebration, such as the church mass, Reynoso’s dance with a “prince,” and various joyful family moments.

Suzette Reynoso-Bivens, the niece of Reynoso who recorded the video, expressed her delight in witnessing her aunt’s celebration of this significant day. She described it as a wonderful spectacle and mentioned, “It was truly an enjoyable experience… observing all my aunts dressing up as princesses. It’s not a common sight.”
