Ice Spice is celebrating with great enthusiasm following the Grammy’s recent announcement of her four nominations for next year’s prestigious event.

On Friday, the Recording Academy unveiled the nominations for the 2024 show, and Ice Spice, a rising star from the Bronx, made a significant impact across various categories. The multi-talented rapper received nominations for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Song Written For Visual Media for her collaboration on “Barbie World.” Additionally, she secured a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her work alongside Taylor Swift on “Karma.”

To mark this exciting news, Ice Spice took to her Instagram account, sharing a post that proudly displayed her nominations, accompanied by a caption expressing her gratitude with a cheerful emoticon, saying, “grATEful ^.^.” Her fellow artists and peers, including Saweetie, GloRilla, Skai Jackson, LaLa Anthony, and many more, flooded her comments section with messages of praise and congratulations for earning four nominations.

However, as with any award announcement, there were dissenting voices. Some individuals felt that the 23-year-old rapper was undeserving of the recognition. One comment questioned, “Can’t believe she’s getting that Grammy before J. Cole,” while another commenter stated, “I like some of Ice Spice’s songs, but she does not deserve a Grammy…”

Undeterred by criticism, Ice Spice extended her celebration to Twitter, where she expressed her astonishment with a tweet that exclaimed, “FOUR GRAMMY NOMINATIONS?! are u shittin me!!! thank YOU 🫵.”

Ice Spice wasn’t the only artist with an impressive showing in the Grammy nominations. SZA leads the pack with a remarkable nine nominations in various categories. Other highlights include Best Rap Album nominations for Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss” and Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA,” as well as a nod for Best Rap Song for Lil Uzi Vert’s hit, “Just Wanna Rock,” among others.
