Rosalind “Roz” Brewer to Be Honored with the Luminary Award at the 2026 Women of Power Summit.

Rosalind “Roz” Brewer will be honored with the 2026 Luminary Award at the Women of Power Summit, taking place March 11–15 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
A true trailblazer, Brewer’s career is marked by groundbreaking firsts across corporate America, reflecting decades of visionary leadership at some of the nation’s most influential institutions.
She launched her professional career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 1984, where over a 22-year tenure she rose through the ranks and ultimately became president of the Global Nonwovens Division. In 2006, Brewer joined Walmart, holding several senior leadership roles, including regional vice president and president of Walmart East. Just six years later, she was appointed president and CEO of Sam’s Club—becoming the first Black leader to head a Walmart division.
Brewer joined Starbucks Corporation in 2017 as chief operating officer and group president, becoming the first woman and the first African American to hold the position. In March 2021, she was named CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance and joined its board of directors. At the time, she stood among a small and distinguished group of Black women leading Fortune 500 companies.
Beyond the C-suite, Brewer has served on the boards of Amazon, Starbucks, Lockheed Martin, and Molson Coors Brewing Company. She currently sits on the board of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture and serves as interim president and chair emerita of Spelman College.
Consistently recognized for her influence, Brewer has been named to Forbes’ Most Powerful Women in Business and the Forbes 50 Over 50 list, among many other honors. Her latest recognition will come at the Women of Power Summit in Las Vegas. A true visionary, she has unquestionably earned her place among an elite group of leaders whose work continues to redefine corporate leadership and expand opportunity.
