From Runway to Booking Photo: NYC Model Arrested in Alleged $1M Luxury Theft Case in SoHo.

Diaby was captured on security footage allegedly assisting in carrying out the high-value theft from the store.

A New York City model is facing charges for allegedly orchestrating a $1 million robbery at a luxury boutique in SoHo.

Authorities arrested Abdallah Diaby on February 19 in connection with the high-profile theft at the 4Gseller boutique in New York City. Outside of the alleged crime, Diaby is represented by the New York–based modeling agency TWO MGMT.

The brazen robbery reportedly took place on December 1, initially leaving investigators uncertain about the identities of those responsible. Authorities have since identified and apprehended one of the suspected individuals connected to the crime.

According to the New York Post, Diaby and three other suspects allegedly fled the store with nearly $1 million worth of merchandise, including 20 Saint Laurent designer jackets, 30 handbags, 20 belts, and other high-end items.

“They took a lot of one-of-a-kind, high-end merchandise—brands like Chrome Hearts and Saint Laurent, including many custom pieces. They were dropping them off the balcony while someone ran them to the car,” store owner Tommy Macari told CBS News, adding that the heist felt “kind of like the movies.”

The criminal complaint states that a silver Ford SUV was parked outside the store around 4 a.m. The suspects reportedly posed as construction workers, wearing hard hats and carrying a ladder, while others acted as lookouts. They allegedly threw luxury items out of a window and over a balcony before loading them into the vehicle.

The suspects vanished just seconds before the NYPD arrived, having cleared out the store in a mere four and a half minutes. While his accomplices remain at large, security footage linked Bronx-born model Diaby to the high-profile heist. Despite facing charges of grand larceny and burglary, Diaby maintained his aesthetic, appearing in Manhattan Criminal Court wearing a pair of rare “Touch me I’m sick” Vans. He pleaded not guilty and was released under supervision; his next court date is set for March 18.
