Nailed it! Coco Gauff is once again the highest-paid female athlete.

With major wins and powerhouse endorsements, Gauff claimed the No. 1 spot on Sportico’s 2025 highest-paid female athletes list.
Sportico named tennis sensation Coco Gauff the highest-paid female athlete for the third year in a row on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Gauff pulled in $31 million, with $23 million coming from major endorsements with New Balance, Baker Tilly, Bose, Head, Rolex, Mercedes-Benz, and Chase Bank.
Although WTA prize money is typically lower than the ATP’s, payouts are equal at Grand Slams and Masters 1000 tournaments. Off the court, six women brought in $10 million or more through endorsements, compared to four active male players. Tennis athletes also dominated Sportico’s top 15 highest-paid list, with only five athletes from other sports making the cut.
Other standout earners include Naomi Osaka, who made $12.5 million from salary, prize money, and endorsements—putting her ahead of Simone Biles, who earned $11 million through sponsorships, and Venus Williams, who brought in $10 million in endorsements plus $219,000 in salary and prize winnings.
Osaka jumped from No. 59 to No. 16 in the WTA rankings in 2025, marking a strong comeback after a low-profile 2024 following the birth of her daughter. Her surge was fueled in part by a run to the U.S. Open semifinals. Williams entered only three tournaments in 2025 but secured her first singles win since 2023 and reached the U.S. Open doubles quarterfinals, giving her the highest prize earnings she’s seen since 2021.
Meanwhile, Olympic champion Biles—still on hiatus from competition—launched her fifth Athleta collection and continues to partner with brands like Audemars Piguet, Lilly, and Nulo Pet Food. Her Netflix documentary Simone Biles Rising earned an Emmy, and she’s teaming up with Playmakers Group to open a new restaurant, Taste of Gold, in her hometown of Houston.
