Simone Biles Faces Challenges While Building Her Dream Home.
The Olympic gold medalist, along with her husband, Jonathan Owens, a Green Bay Packers player, is currently in the midst of constructing their Texas home from the foundation up.
Even for Simone Biles, constructing your dream home from scratch can prove to be a time-consuming and occasionally exasperating endeavor.
According to People magazine, the Olympic gold medalist shared an Instagram update on November 28 regarding the challenges she’s facing while constructing the Texas home she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, are building. In a sequence of Stories, she disclosed that complications arose during the second day of the “trim walk.” She wrote in a video as it moved through the home’s lofty ceilings, “Yesterday, I was here from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m… I thought it was going to be a 30-minute task because I had no idea what I was getting into.”
In the subsequent video, she seemed puzzled by the alterations, captioning the image with, “Me confused as heck,” as reported by People. While the exact details of the events during the six-hour construction day remain unclear, Biles shared another photo on Thursday, mentioning that she sought support from her father and husband because she had panicked. Nevertheless, she expressed her pride in the significant progress made, adding, “Jonathan will handle the end result, oops… I hope I did it reasonably well and considered all the factors.”
Biles also captured an image of the patterned floor tile, seemingly in a bathroom, expressing her frustration with significant yellow stains surrounding the grout.
In a November 17 update, the Texas native’s home improvement update took on a more positive tone. According to People, Biles shared a photo on Instagram featuring one of the larger rooms. In the initial frame of a carousel, she beamed with a wide smile, holding the keys to the house in one hand. She then turned the camera upward, unveiling the intricate foundational construction work for one of the room’s walls, roof, and massive sliding doors.
In another image, she offered a more detailed perspective of the room, showcasing smaller windows positioned near the ceiling and larger glass sliding doors installed below. Additionally, she presented a photograph of a smaller room with similar sliding doors leading to a patio, offering a scenic view of foliage and a body of water. The carousel also included a picture of her construction boots, covered in mud, placed alongside a pair of black Prada slides.
Biles and Owens, the NFL’s Green Bay Packers player, commenced their relationship in March 2020, having initially connected on the dating app Raya. They officially became married in a Houston courtroom on April 22, 2023, and subsequently celebrated with a more lavish second wedding ceremony in Mexico just a few weeks later.
Biles candidly shared with Vogue that she experienced her heart racing as she readied herself to walk down the aisle, acknowledging that she had never felt more nervous. She expressed her awe at the sight of Jonathan waiting at the altar, describing it as a dream come true. Biles also remarked on the overwhelming love and support from their guests, making the ceremony exceptionally beautiful and enchanting.
