Veteran entertainment professional Carol Dunn is now the Managing Director of Barking Owl, the go-to audio partner for top ad agencies, brands, and production companies worldwide.

“In July, the award-winning music, audio post-production, and sonic branding company announced Carol Dunn as its new Managing Director. ‘Joining Barking Owl is the intentional result of my 26 years of hard work, sacrifice, and passion for music placement,’ Dunn shared in a press release. In her role, she collaborates with Creative Director Johanna Cranitch and CEO Kirkland Alexander Lynch to drive fresh growth opportunities for the agency and its brand partners.”

Carol Dunn steps into the role previously held by Barking Owl founder Kelly Bayett, dedicated to building on the company’s decade of success. Bayett, now moving into an advisory position, expressed excitement about finally teaming up with Dunn, whom she’s admired for years. With a portfolio featuring names like Megan Thee Stallion, Adidas, and the GRAMMY Awards, Bayett is confident Dunn’s taste, professionalism, and industry insight will propel the company forward. ‘We feel incredibly fortunate to add her to our parliament,’ Bayett shared.

With over 30 years in the entertainment industry, Carol Dunn brings deep expertise to her new role at Barking Owl. Her skill set spans music supervision, licensing, production, business development, marketing, and advocacy for diversity and inclusion. Previously, as West Coast Executive Producer at a leading music house, she managed creative audio projects for top brands like Nike, Doritos, Samsung, and Uber, and also served as Head of TV & Film at Capitol Records, contributing to soundtracks for films like Boogie Nights, Romeo + Juliet, and the Rugrats movies.

Spanning over 15,000 square feet of audio production studios in New York City and Los Angeles, Barking Owl was honored as Sound Company of the Year at Ciclope 2024.
