Dawn Robinson’s ex-husband, Andre Allen, has extended a hospitality job offer to the former En Vogue star.

Singer Dawn Robinson, formerly of En Vogue, recently revealed she’s living in her car. However, TMZ reports that her ex-husband, Andre Allen, has offered her a hospitality job. Robinson and Allen were together for 10 years, and though Allen once worked in music, he credits his career shift to the hotel industry for saving his life.

Allen is ready to assist Robinson in transitioning to hospitality, believing she’d excel as a saleswoman if she “humbles herself.”

Robinson, a seven-time Grammy nominee, briefly rejoined En Vogue in the 2000s. Allen, who claims to have helped facilitate the reunion, says he was unaware of the depth of her struggles.

Having witnessed the financial struggles of former industry peers, Allen, a successful figure in the industry, has seen musicians fall into poverty and has provided financial assistance to others in need.

The singer shared her story on YouTube in a video titled “Your New Life Is in the Scary,” where she opened up about moving in with her parents during a career slump, a situation that she said put a strain on her relationship with her mother.

Robinson referred to this time as an “unexpected” period of growth.
