Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation donates $100K to the University of Houston.
The donation will help UH Law Center grow its faculty and resources.

On December 11, Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation donated $100,000 to the University of Houston’s Law Center. The Houston native’s contribution will support the Criminal Justice Clinic, helping to hire a full-time director and enhance resources for students. The clinic will also expand its faculty, allowing more students to participate in the program.
Aligned with BeyGood’s mission, the Criminal Justice Clinic will boost its efforts to serve communities and focus on supporting underserved areas near the university’s campus.
“We are thrilled that the BeyGood Foundation has made this generous gift to the UH Law Center,” said Leonard Baynes, dean of the UH Law Center. “This funding will not only support the creation of a full-time criminal justice clinic offering pro bono legal services to our community but also enhance our outstanding criminal law and justice programs.”
Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation, established in 2013, focuses on supporting activism and social change while empowering marginalized communities through economic, academic, and equitable initiatives.
According to the BeyGood website, the foundation provides fellowships and internships to help students secure stable jobs and income. It also offers scholarships to ease the burden of rising tuition costs and supports small businesses with financial relief and educational opportunities for growth.

In 2023, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour teamed up with the Black Parade Route Small Business Impact, pledging $2 million to support small businesses during the tour’s Black Parade events.
