Miley Cyrus and Naomi Campbell criticized for ‘ignoring fans’ during meet and greet.

Miley Cyrus and Naomi Campbell were criticized for ‘ignoring their fans’ while holding a ‘meet and greet’ with each other at a fan event over the weekend.
On Sunday, Cyrus hosted a fan signing to promote her new single, before heading out for a glamorous night in London with her supermodel friend.
At the event, the duo signed vinyls for their collaboration, part of Cyrus’ new single “Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved” for her film Something Beautiful.
A crowd of fans gathered at Rough Trade to meet the dynamic duo, but many took to social media to express their disappointment at being ‘ignored’ by the stars.
In footage from the event, the pop star engaged in lively conversation with the 55-year-old supermodel while signing vinyls and greeting fans.
However, many fans were upset when they noticed the Flowers hitmaker’s attention was split, resulting in poorly timed photos where the stars were often not even looking at the camera.
Representatives for both Cyrus and Campbell have not yet responded to requests for comment.
After the fan signing and their night out, the former Disney star took to Instagram to share a series of photos and a clip of them posing at the record store.
In her caption, Cyrus expressed her love for the supermodel, saying she ‘adored meeting’ all the fans who attended.
“Thank you for celebrating the Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved vinyl release day with me,” she wrote to Campbell.
“Laughing with you is my favorite. I’ll miss you until we reunite. Love you forever,” she added.
Cyrus also thanked her fans and encouraged those who ‘missed it’ to buy the vinyl. In the comments, many fans shared their frustration about the duo’s ‘rude’ behavior at the meet and greet.
“Sorry to everyone who went and got a photo with them talking to one another,” one Instagram user commented.
“Girl, you were very rude to your fans at this signing,” another person commented.
On X (formerly Twitter), many attendees posted photos and videos of their encounters with the stars, with Cyrus and Campbell facing even more backlash for ‘ignoring’ their fans.
Criticism flooded in, especially in response to footage shared by YouTuber Juanito Say, who captioned the clip: “You pay for a meet & greet to meet Miley Cyrus… And she completely ignores you while chatting with Naomi Campbell.”
One attendee posted a photo with the stars, but in the shot, Campbell was looking down and Cyrus hadn’t yet smiled.
The X user posted cringing emojis and wrote: “This is the best I got from the video.”
Another excited fan shared a photo from the meet and greet where both stars were mid-smile, but facing in different directions.
Other selfies shared by a Miley Cyrus fan account looked similarly rushed, though the fans were beaming and clearly thrilled to meet their idols.
“No, literally, they’re so weird for this,” one X user tweeted, while another commented, “Omg, this is so rude.”
“I know Miley Cyrus and washed-up Naomi Campbell don’t think they’re all that in 2024. F*** outta here,” one X user wrote, expressing their disappointment.
“I canceled my order,” another fan said after seeing other fans’ experiences. “They were just talking to themselves? Barely acknowledging the fans.”
Others criticized the stars, with one commenting, “No, because I’d ask for a refund to her face.”
Another user noted that the supermodel seemed to “deliberately start talking to Miley as soon as she saw the girl walk up.”
After the fan signing, Cyrus and Campbell went out for the evening in London.
Later, Cyrus was spotted leaving a Lost City immersive event in Covent Garden.
During their night out, the singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was also seen with his new girlfriend, Liz Hurley.
This public reunion came after Miley discussed a decade’s worth of family drama and how she healed relationships while promoting her new album Something Beautiful.
She rose to become a global pop star, but in last Tuesday’s episode of Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky, she revealed her journey to fame was marked by family turmoil. Cyrus hinted that her family endured a “really difficult, dark decade,” but they managed to work through it.
On the podcast, she shared that they mended their relationships without therapy.
“We’re so messy, we didn’t even do any of that,” she joked about the family struggles, explaining why therapy wasn’t involved.
“Just getting us all into a room for counseling would’ve been a war,” she admitted. Cyrus shared that at one point during the “dark decade,” half of her family wasn’t speaking to each other.
She also expressed her strong loyalty to her mother, Tish Cyrus, who separated from her father, Billy Ray, in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage.
Before their divorce was finalized in 2023, she revealed her parents had an on-and-off relationship and shared how it impacted her.
“I watched what happens when you don’t clean things up as they happen,” she confessed.
“They really do stack up. Then, all of a sudden, you look around and say, ‘Oh my God, it’s been 10 years, and this is a mess I barely even know how to start. This is emotional hoarding,'” she added.
In the end, the singer said she “cleaned all that up” during a “really important part of [her] year,” focusing on “putting those lines of communication back together.”
“I just kind of busted through the pile that stacked up and said, ‘I’m here, you’re here, let’s start by having a good time together. As we bring some happiness and joy into each other’s lives, we’ll be in a better place to have these conversations,'” she shared.
She also mentioned that it was “easier to wave a white flag” than to go through therapy with someone else.
The singer explained she prefers for others to “decide they like the way I’m functioning” and then try to “mimic” it.
Cyrus also revealed she will address her family drama more directly in her album, with a song called Secrets.
She explained that Secrets is about her desire for her dad to “feel safe enough to tell me the things that were damning and damaging to the family.”
