Venus and Serena Williams Keep It Real on X with New Podcast.
Venus and Serena are joining forces off the court to bring fans an ‘unfiltered’ conversation on their new podcast.
Tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams are debuting a new podcast on X.
The Williams sisters are no strangers to the spotlight and public speaking. This August, they’re putting their media training to work with a new podcast. Serena announced the launch of their upcoming show, “Unfiltered Truth,” on her X account. Promising more than just sports talk, the U.S. Open champion shared that she and Venus will be sharing their “unfiltered truth.” The podcast is produced by Serena’s Nine Two Six Production company.
In a statement to Variety, the sisters expressed their excitement to use their voices on important issues. They also mentioned that X provides the perfect platform for fans to join the conversation and build a more personal connection.
“We’re thrilled to launch our new podcast, where we’ll share our personal stories, have honest conversations, highlight important topics, and of course, laugh a lot,” the Williams sisters shared in a joint statement to Variety. “This platform allows us to connect directly with our fans who have supported us throughout our careers, and we’re excited to engage with both longtime and new audiences in a way we never have before.”
Mitchell Smith, head of original content at X, is excited to welcome the Williams sisters to the platform’s lineup of live shows, which includes Khloe Kardashian’s “Khloé in Wonder Land.”
“Venus and Serena are two of the most recognized and respected athletes globally, and their decision to join X puts them at the forefront of our evolving original content strategy,” said Smith.
By bringing the Williams sisters on board, X hopes to boost its original content offering. The platform has experienced a decline in its user base since 2024.
“Over the 12 months leading up to January 2025, X (formerly Twitter) lost 33 million users, a 5.3% drop,” reports Global Statistics.
The global appeal of the Williams sisters could help bring some of those lost users back. Together, they are the most successful sibling athletes in the world.
