Keshia Knight Pulliam Embraces Farm Life with Family: A Joyful Change After 40 Years in Hollywood.

Actress and current host of the Married at First Sight After Party, Keshia Knight Pulliam, is savoring her free time alongside her husband, Brad James, and their two children, all residing together on a family farm. According to a report by PEOPLE, Knight Pulliam, who gained fame for her role as the lovable Rudy Huxtable in the beloved sitcom The Cosby Show, now finds the greatest happiness in her peaceful moments.

The 42-year-old Spelman College graduate, having spent over four decades in the entertainment industry, attributes her contentment to successfully managing both her professional and personal life, creating a unique path for herself.

“I’ve been immersed in the entertainment world throughout my entire life, spanning more than 40 years,” she remarked. “Yet, I’ve also maintained my own private life separate from it, and I truly value that.”

The realms of work and personal life collided when Knight Pulliam crossed paths with James on the set of the 2019 Lifetime movie Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta. Despite not playing romantic interests on-screen, a connection sparked between them.

“We were actually portraying siblings,” Knight Pulliam recalled. “Our paths had crossed multiple times before, but this encounter was different.” As a gesture of goodwill, the actress invited her co-star, James, to join her family for Thanksgiving.

“He came to my brother’s house, surrounded by my loved ones, even though we were just cast mates at the time,” she explained. “Five years later, he’s my husband, and together, we’ve welcomed a new addition to our family.”

In 2021, the couple tied the knot and welcomed their son, Knight, earlier this year. This expanded their family to four, as the actress has a daughter from her previous marriage to Ed Hartwell. Surprisingly, the birth of their son coincided with a period of unexpected free time for both Knight Pulliam and James, due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood.

“I never envisioned taking a break to have my son, and then when it was time to return, the entire industry came to a halt,” Knight Pulliam remarked. She is still able to fulfill her reality TV responsibilities, as those were unaffected by the strike. “Fortunately, those aspects remained outside the strike’s scope, but it has certainly been a blessing to have more quality family time.”

Knight Pulliam and James chose to create a life far removed from the fast-paced world of the entertainment industry, especially for the sake of their children. She shared, “We’ve settled on a farm, and my husband even constructed a greenhouse for me. Currently, we’re busy planting, looking after chickens and goats, and, most importantly, relishing our moments together as a family.”
