A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces just made history again by breaking another WNBA record.

Wilson sets a new personal best by scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for the 17th time this season.

In a season full of record-breaking moments in the WNBA, A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces has shattered yet another milestone.

As reported by ESPN, Wilson, the reigning WNBA Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, has broken her own record set just last year. By scoring 34 points and securing 13 rebounds, Wilson achieved her 17th game this season with 20 points and 10 rebounds, surpassing her previous record of 16 games from last season.

In the 87-71 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on August 18, A’ja Wilson set another WNBA record by scoring at least 20 points and grabbing 10 or more rebounds in eight consecutive games.

During this streak, she’s been on fire, averaging 29.3 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game. Her shooting has been impressive, hitting 53% from the field (85-of-161) and 93.3% from the free-throw line (56-of-60).

Wilson is the first player in WNBA history to have multiple games with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals. Joining Candace Parker, Sylvia Fowles, and Angel Reese, she also becomes the fourth player in league history to record eight consecutive double-doubles.

The Aces noted that by scoring at least 24 points in each of the last eight games, Wilson has tied a WNBA record she already shared with Diana Taurasi.

Wilson’s impressive stats include two blocked shots, bringing her career total to 417, placing her 12th on the WNBA’s all-time block list. She’s now on a 39-game streak of double-digit scoring, the longest active streak in the league. With 13 rebounds in this game, her career total reaches 1,947, ranking 30th in WNBA history. Her 17th double-double of the season is the 93rd of her career, making her 7th on the all-time list. Additionally, by recording her 17th 20/10 game this season and the 69th of her career, she now holds the 5th most in WNBA history for that stat.
