‘Find A Black Doctor’ Now Covers All 50 States.

This is a big step in closing health gaps and bringing better care to Black communities across the country.

In a major move to reduce health disparities and improve access to quality care, Find a Black Doctor now features board-certified health professionals in all 50 states. This growth ensures individuals can easily connect with experienced Black doctors, dentists, psychologists, and other providers who deliver culturally competent care.

This expansion is especially timely as health disparities continue to impact Black communities disproportionately. By offering a trusted directory, the platform meets a vital need for healthcare professionals dedicated to addressing the unique needs of Black patients.

Created to improve healthcare access, the website provides an easy-to-use platform for patients to find providers based on their location and specific needs. It features detailed profiles of physicians, dentists, psychologists, and other specialists. Listings are free for healthcare professionals, and the site also offers resources to boost health and healthcare literacy.

The directory’s expansion addresses the growing demand for Black healthcare providers who can tackle systemic biases and deliver equitable care. Research shows that patients often achieve better health outcomes when treated by providers who share their racial or ethnic background. By connecting patients with Black healthcare professionals across the U.S., from Atlanta to Alaska, the platform aims to improve outcomes and foster trust within the Black community.

Founder Dr. Dina Strachan, a board-certified dermatologist from New York City, shares, “Despite all our technological advances, finding exactly what you need online can still be a challenge. Having visited all 50 states myself, I’ve seen firsthand the diverse obstacles to access across the country.”

The team invites the community to recommend Black doctors for inclusion in the directory and encourages doctors to submit their own practices or those of colleagues for a free listing. There is strong support for highlighting doctors in independent practices.

As the directory expands, it stays dedicated to its mission of ensuring that every Black person in America has access to top-quality healthcare.
