Cardi B Says Her Tenants Are 9 Months Behind On Rent Payments

In a recent Instagram Live session, the rap sensation Cardi B opened up about the challenges of being landlords, revealing that they have tenants who are severely behind on rent.
“We have tenants who haven’t paid rent for a whopping 9 months!” Cardi exclaimed. “Nine months! Sometimes, we’re so swamped with our hectic schedules, and our property managers are equally occupied that we’re like, you know what? Let’s not even bother taking them to court because we’re just too exhausted. We barely have time for it with all the other things on our plate.”
She went on to share the harsh realities of property ownership, saying, “People often say, ‘Invest in property, invest in property,’ but let’s not even get started on the Airbnb property in the Dominican Republic that Offset got me. It’s always something! Trust me; I don’t want properties as gifts.”
Later in her Live session, the Quality Control star mentioned that she and Offset are actively seeking to purchase more properties, potentially in Los Angeles or Miami, as they are looking to transition away from being renters. She noted, “But that’s not a walk in the park either.” According to the 31-year-old rapper, when it comes to future gifts, she would prefer a Birkin bag over property. “Whether it’s residential or investment properties, no, I’m all about a fabulous Birkin.”
Offset had gifted Cardi B the Dominican Republic home in 2021 for her 29th birthday. He surprised the mother of their two children at her star-studded party in Los Angeles, presenting a video preview of the luxurious mansion in her family’s homeland.
“For a while now, I’ve been telling Set that I really want to invest in short-term vacation rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries since people vacation year-round in those locations,” Cardi B expressed her gratitude at the time. “But I thought he didn’t agree with me and preferred to invest elsewhere. Well, I stand corrected [partying face emoji]. I can’t believe it! This means so much to me.”
She continued, “Firstly, I’m thrilled that you actually listened to me and didn’t just smile and nod your head to make me stop talking about it [crying laughing emoji]. Secondly, you don’t think my investment ideas are lame [weary face emoji]. And thirdly, I love that you asked my dad to collaborate with you on this.” Cardi B also expressed her gratitude for the close relationship between Offset and her father, emphasizing their importance in her life.
