At the Grammys, Miley Cyrus is finally receiving the recognition she deserves.

31-year-old singer Miley Cyrus clinches her first-ever Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance with ‘Flowers,’ the lead single from her eighth studio album, ‘Endless Summer Vacation.’ During Sunday’s ceremony, iconic artist Mariah Carey presented Cyrus with the award, leading to a heartwarming moment for the star. Reflecting on her journey to Grammys recognition, Cyrus shared a poignant story about perseverance and unexpected moments of triumph, likening it to a child’s experience with a butterfly landing on their nose after giving up the chase.

“And ‘Flowers,’ this song, it’s like my butterfly,” Cyrus added.

Miley Cyrus secures the Record of the Year title at the 2024 Grammys. Later on, she also clinches another prestigious award for “Flowers.” Reflecting on her success, Cyrus humbly expresses gratitude, emphasizing the importance of staying grounded and cherishing life’s beauty beyond accolades.

Wrapping up her speech, she exclaimed, “I think I’ve covered everyone, but I might have overlooked my underwear. Bye!”

Taking the Grammy stage, Miley Cyrus delivered a captivating performance of “Flowers.” During her rendition, she playfully adjusted the lyrics, singing, “Tears started to flow, then I remembered, I just bagged my first Grammy!

Following a career marked by eight nominations, six of which were received this year, Miley Cyrus celebrated her wins at the Grammys. Her album “Endless Summer Vacation” garnered recognition in various categories, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year, alongside nominations for “Thousand Miles” and “Flowers.” Reflecting on her nominations in a November Instagram post, Cyrus expressed gratitude, emphasizing that the real reward is having her music cherished globally.

Referencing the significant female presence in this year’s top Grammy categories, she remarked, “It’s empowering to witness women leading the music industry.” Miley Cyrus earned her initial Grammy nomination in 2015 with her fourth album, “Bangerz,” contending for Best Pop Vocal Album. Recalling her reaction to the nomination, she humorously shared with Entertainment Tonight how she initially thought it was a joke but later confirmed it online. Her subsequent nomination came in 2022, attributed to her feature on Lil Nas X’s “Am I Dreaming,” which was in contention for Album of the Year alongside “Montero.”

In January 2023, “Flowers” soared to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, becoming the pop star’s second chart-topper following “Wrecking Ball” in 2013. Additionally, in March of the same year, “Endless Summer Vacation” made its debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. While her previous album, “Plastic Hearts,” attained the No. 2 position on the chart in 2020, it did not secure any Grammy nominations.

While this marked Cyrus’ debut Grammy win, she has previously secured accolades from ceremonies like the MTV Video Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards. Notable artists who have yet to clinch a competitive Grammy Award include Diana Ross, Katy Perry, and Snoop Dogg.
