Recalling her reaction to the nomination, she humorously shared with Entertainment Tonight how she initially thought it was a joke but later confirmed it online. Her subsequent nomination came in 2022, attributed to her feature on Lil Nas X’s “Am I Dreaming,” which was in contention for Album of the Year alongside “Montero.”
In January 2023, “Flowers” soared to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, becoming the pop star’s second chart-topper following “Wrecking Ball” in 2013.
