Cardi B Supports Keith Lee’s Harsh Critique of Atlanta Restaurants

By Extra-Ordinary Women

In recent news, TikTok influencer Keith Lee, renowned for his food and restaurant critiques, recently had a less-than-stellar experience while exploring dining establishments in Atlanta. As a result, the city, often celebrated as a Black mecca, is currently under the social media spotlight for being perceived as a mecca for to-go boxes destined straight for the trash. Interestingly, many of Lee’s negative assessments seemed to be centered more on service issues than the quality of the food itself.

Among the restaurants Lee criticized, one that came under the spotlight was “Old Lady Gang,” owned by “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss. Lee shared his frustration over encountering difficulties securing a table and being informed that the restaurant didn’t take takeout orders on weekends.

While Lee faced some online criticism for his harsh take on Atlanta’s restaurant industry, one prominent figure has no qualms about expressing her disdain for the city’s eateries and servers. Grammy award-winning rapper Cardi B, who is no stranger to controversy, shared her views on Instagram Live.

Cardi exclaimed, “First things first, right? I feel like Atlanta restaurants… They don’t like to make money. I feel like they don’t like people, they don’t like their customers, they just don’t f***ing like it.” She went on to highlight the difficulties of placing orders in Atlanta restaurants, where it often seems like they refuse to accept orders, leading her to resort to having others place orders on her behalf, often relying on her name for preferential treatment.

“First, they don’t do no pick-up orders, they don’t do deliveries, they just don’t do st,” Cardi continued. “Second, Atlanta restaurants, right? They be closed on the most random st.” She expressed frustration at the seemingly erratic closing schedules, where establishments are closed on unexpected days, making it challenging for patrons to find a consistent dining option.

“It’s just the most random st,” Cardi concluded. “It’s like y’all motherf*ers don’t like making money.” Cardi B’s candid commentary adds another layer to the ongoing debate surrounding Atlanta’s restaurant scene, leaving many to question the city’s approach to customer service and business operations.
